“Les Aigles du Chateau de Lordat”
Awesome! What more could you want, an amazing Falconry display in a ruined castle on top of a mountain!!!
Great crowd interaction with the birds being brought up close and personal, great education including getting the crowd to mimic the calls of the birds.
Large selection of birds and some of the best displays of birds of prey in flight I have ever seen. The location really helps with this as there are great thermals for the birds to use.
Please note the demonstration is in French and please expect to be very close to the birds, they are flown threw the crowd and are brought up to you for a closer look.
They are shut Tuesdays and Fridays and only fly in the afternoon, doors open at 14.30 and the demonstration starts 15.00, allow a good 15 minutes to get from the gate to the demonstration site and it is up a very steep hill so if you are like me and very unfit allow a bit longer.
“a beautiful ruin and sanctuary for eagles and other birds”
very nice place to visit also with children. The birdshow is very well done and your guide is very motivated and loves the birds. Heartwarming.
